This article applies to lenders, forwarders and agency company admin or case workers 




Case type changes are required to be at the parent case level to stay within Switch. If case type change occurs at the child case level the child case is removed from Switch. Switch auto updates case(s) when case types change to follow the case type strategy built in switch. 



Step 1: From the case view, click on Options 



Step 2: Click on Change Case Type



Step 3a: Select Case Type Change: Keep Case in Switch

Note: This allows the case to be redetermined with the newly selected case type and apply switch dates, rules, and schedules appropriately 



Step 3b: Select Case Type Change: Take Case Out of Switch 

Note: This will remove the case from the Switch process, this will not allow moving forward in placement.


Results: 

1. Involuntary Case changed to Voluntary  

2. Opened LPR Repo Only Case due to Switch rules and Schedules 


Event Log Displays:

1. Shows case type changed from Involuntary Repossession to Voluntary Repossession 

2. Shows the Switch date change due to the case type change 

3. Shows that Switch put the case with another provider and put it as an LPR due to Switch rules and schedules
